From the rolling hills of Tuscany, Apicoltura Dr. Pescia lovingly collects this delicate, creamy Sulla honey. Sulla (hedysarum coronarium) is the Italian name for a white legume grown throughout the country and enjoyed throughout Europe. Sulla is a very typical Italian regional honey, and this raw, unprocessed, unfiltered jewel of a honey is some of the finest Sulla that I have ever found.

Apicoltura Dr. Pescia is Tuscany's premiere honey producer. Dr. Pescia himself is a second generation beekeeper, with a degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Padua for his thesis on experimental beekeeping. His hives are moved throughout Tuscany as the seasons change with the varieties of flowers in the region.

Tasting Notes

This honey has a floral, earthy flavor, with a thick consistency and glowing golden white color. Perfect for light teas, salad dressings and marinades or with fresh fruit. An exceptional example of this regional Italian specialty honey.
