This exquisite raw Chestnut honey comes from hilly and mountainous regions of the Pistoia Abetone province of Northern Tuscany from the area's premiere producer of fine artisanal honey, Apicoltura Dr. Pescia. Dr. Pescia himself is a second generation beekeeper, and earned a degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Padua for his doctoral thesis on experimental beekeeping. His hives are moved throughout Tuscany as the seasons change with the varieties of flowers in the region.

Tasting Notes

Like all chestnut honeys, this amber brown honey has a pungent aroma and an intense flavor.  Pour it onto vanilla ice cream or cinnamon gelato.  Great paired with goat cheese, olive oil and grilled bruschetta.  A very strong flavored gourmet honey with a headiness that is almost intoxicating.  Bravo!
