A unique honey made from the nectar of the native Chilean Ulmo tree (eucryphia cordifolia). Winner of the Best Raw Honey of 2007 at the San Francisco Fancy Food Show, this delicious honey can turn anyone into a lover of artisinal honey.  The Ulmo blooms with white flowers late in the summer, and is harvested in the Araucania region in the south of Chile in native forests.

Like all of the Chilean honeys in the Bee Limitless Honey Shop, this honey is harvested through a delicate manual method that is traditional to this area.  No temperature manipulation is used at any step in the production process.  Ulmo honey has been studied at the Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile for its incredible potency in both antibacterial and antifungal bio-activity.  Certified as fairly traded, in part for the company's involvement supporting the indigenous  Mapuches tribe including the support of beekeepers that practice ancient, sustainable methods when harvesting this incredible honey.
